JOHNNY TEDESCO BAILAOR
Johnny Tedesco, with over three decades of creative experience and a passion for sharing new stories, is a Melbourne-based Flamenco dancer, co-founder of the Flamenco Performing Arts Studio and choreographer for Arte Kanela Flamenco.
His unique approach and skills enable him to cross-genre art, integrating Flamenco dance and music into performances alongside artists of diverse genres including pop queen Kate Ceberano, jazz icon Christopher Hale, Australian flamenco pioneer Diana Reyes, and recently on The Cat Empire’s national tour.
Invited to perform at Australia’s first Ted X, he has presented original works at WOMADelaide, WOMAD NZ and at the Melbourne International Arts Festival, and has performed extensively throughout regional Victoria.
Johnny is integral to the diverse cultural fabric of Australia, playing an active role performing and teaching in the Victorian arts community for over 30 years. He continues to perform and create new productions for his ensemble, Arte Kanela Flamenco.
